WELCOME TO THE PARTY. WELCOME TO SCIPMYLO FESTIVAL 2012.

Welcome to SCIPMYLO. The hottest festival ticket in London this summer. (Although you don’t need an actual ticket to get in as entry is free.)

17 days and nights of an incredible mix of entertainment and stimulation for mind and body, running concurrently with the games – and right on its doorstep.

From the opening night ‘Comedy Gala’ (July 27th) that features comedy giants Dylan Moran,  Milton Jones, and Alan Davies with Greg Burns as compere to ‘Closing night Chaos’ (August 12th) with The Cuban Brothers as they bring the house down with their full band live band (quite handy as we’ll be packing up the next morning).

And in between?  An incredible line-up of household names and the hottest emerging talent.

One of the most striking aspects of our performances is their intimacy.  By comparison with the stadiums routinely filled by the sort of talent on offer (like Ali Campbell’s UB40, Aswad, or Soul II Soul), our performance tents offer far more intimate artist -audience interaction.  A few thousand people rather than tens of thousands (so don’t miss out, grab your tickets while you can).

What’s more, many of the acts (like the Guillemots) will be showcasing new material for the very first time. In fact, for several of our bands, material will premiered from their brand new, up and coming albums. So you’ll enjoy the inaugural airing of their new material, up close and personal.

Which is just how we like it in the East End. Not quite your typical East End knees up, but just as friendly.

As well as the Live Music Stage throwing nightly concerts throughout the festival, there’ll be stages hosting comedy, theatre, magic, dance, cirque and cabaret; International Pavilions, a Games Zone, not to mention live screening of the little sporting event going on over the hedge.

Finally, to sustain you through all the excitement, there’s East Feast.

Our food and drink festival within. With ideas as fresh as the produce. East Feast is your chance to explore the far flung and fabulous in everything food and drink. From familiar favourites to new twists on tradition.  The vibe is ‘East End Street Party’, with street performers to divert the eye while the fabulous fare delights the palate. Although there’s something to tempt every taste and pocket there is as much to enjoy at SCIPMYLO that is entirely free. Especially the East End hospitality.

In other words, a whole bunch of reasons to get mixed up in the East End and sign up to our newsletter and follow us on Twitter and Facebook.
